Privacy policy. Takings for iOS.

1Who we are

Takings is made by Lehmanade LLC, a small software company run by Jon Lehman. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Lehmanade LLC.

This policy explains what data the Takings app and its widgets handle, where that data goes and what control you have over it.

2What Takings reads

Takings shows your monthly recurring revenue (MRR), annual recurring revenue (ARR) and gross volume in the app and in home-screen widgets. To calculate those numbers, it reads from the payment accounts you choose to connect:

• Stripe, using a restricted, read-only API key you create in your Stripe dashboard.
• Lemon Squeezy, using an API key you create in your Lemon Squeezy settings.

Takings only reads. It cannot issue refunds, change prices, create charges or modify anything in your accounts. With a restricted, read-only Stripe key, that limit is enforced by Stripe itself, not just by our code.

The data Takings reads includes subscription, invoice, order and charge records, along with the amounts, currencies and dates needed to calculate your totals. Those records can contain your customers’ names or email addresses. Takings uses them only to compute your numbers and does not display, copy or export customer details.

3Where your data is kept

Everything stays on your device. Takings sends requests directly from your iPhone to Stripe and Lemon Squeezy. There is no Lehmanade server in between, so we never receive your keys, your revenue figures or your customers’ data.

• Your API keys are stored in the iOS Keychain, which iOS encrypts and keeps on this device. They are not synced to iCloud, so if you delete and reinstall Takings, you enter your keys again.
• The calculated totals your widgets display are kept in an App Group, a private storage area that only Takings and its own widget extension can open.
• Data is not backed up to any Lehmanade service. Standard iOS device backups may include the app’s cached totals, under your Apple account and Apple’s terms.

4What we never do

• We do not sell, rent or trade any data.
• We do not show ads in the app.
• The app does not use analytics, advertising identifiers or third-party tracking tools, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
• We do not build profiles of you or your customers.

If you choose to share crash reports with developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash logs. Those logs describe what went wrong in the app and do not include your revenue data or keys.

5Services you connect

When Takings reads your accounts, Stripe and Lemon Squeezy process that request under their own privacy policies. We do not control what they collect, so please review them:

Purchases in Takings are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not see your payment details.

6Our websites and email

If you visit our websites or email us for support, our general privacy policy covers that, including the analytics our websites use. None of it applies inside the app.

7Children

Takings is a business tool for people who run online companies. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

8Deleting your data

Because your data never leaves your device, you are in full control of it:

• Disconnect an account inside Takings to remove its key and cached totals from your iPhone.
• Delete the app to remove everything Takings stored, including widget data.
• Revoke the key in your Stripe or Lemon Squeezy dashboard to cut off access from every device at once.

We hold no copy of your data, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side. If you would still like us to confirm that, write to us and we will reply.

9Changes to this policy

If we change how Takings handles data, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. If a change means we would collect data we do not collect today, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
